Strategy Heaven :: Capturing Brilliance

Posted on DateWednesday, June 9, 2010 at 10:28AM

I had yet another fabulous opportunity to eScribe during the first of 6 strategy sessions for an already bustling organization so they can leap into their next phase of success.

Picture this.  My Monday morning starts with a brisk, spirited, blue-skied ride on the Honda 360T down Lakeshore Drive into the fine city of Chicago.  MacBook securely strapped to my back; keyboard ready to be assaulted for three hours straight. Arriving at Ina's before they open their doors for business, I follow one of the meeting participants into the back door; through the kitchen; to set up for a 7a start.

One, two, three, four.  I count them as they arrive.  Four experts in the area of entrepreneurialism, ready to talk about breaking down barriers and helping small businesses succeed in America.

I pause when I see her :: The visionary. The leader. The passionate entrepreneur. The woman who isn't afraid to share every facet of her dream, and to ask for help from the perfect group of people to make it come alive.

I order my breakfast but get but a nibble because the wisdom, energy, excitement and WORDS that danced around the room were filtered through my brain, funneled through my fingers, and captured in 11pt Helvetica without one hint of a break.

Within 24-hours, 18 pages that transformed a dream into actions was distributed to the team. We each now know our commitments, our tasks, and the next key steps to growing this business.

Yes.  My week began with yet another fabulous opportunity to eScribe :: and learn :: and grow a company.
